3 Drugstore Concealers I Can't Live Without

07/06/2016

Hi lovelies! Have you ever had one thing you cannot live without? I have and there are many things I can't live without, like my top 3 drugstore concealers!

If you're like me, you find it really hard to match concealers to your foundation, but nowadays it's normal to have brighter skin under your eyes and down your nose compared to the rest of your face right? But for those nasty blemishes, those lighter colours don't always work and even then it's hard to get a darker concealer to match your skin tone or foundation. The easiest way to make sure my concealer matches my foundation almost perfectly or even perfectly sometimes is to buy the same brand concealer to the foundation and then try and find out which one goes with which.

Although, sometimes I agree, it is a lot easier and less expensive to pick up a concealer at a local store or drug store than waiting for it to be delivered. Also if you don't go through concealers every 2 or 3 weeks then what secrets are you hiding from me?

So here are my top 3 drugstore concealers you definitely need to try! *PS I wear the Estee Lauder foundation.
- Rimmel Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer - I have two of these in the shade Ivory and Soft Beige. I use the Ivory shade to brighten my eyes and everywhere else I want to brighten and as for the Soft Beige shade, it is a real god when it comes to covering up spots and blemishes. The only thing I don't like about this concealer is the application as it is almost trying to be a brush but it just scares me because of all the germs.. yikes.

I wrote more about this concealer here. *RRP £5.99

- Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - I have this in the shade Fair.  I love this concealer for brightening up my under eye area and it lasts all day! The only thing I would say about this concealer is that it looks a bit cakey if you put too much on, so a little really does go a long way... unless you want to look like icing on a cake then go for it???

*RRP: £4.19

- Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Concealer - I have the shade Light. I haven't reached the age of needing anti-age products and I won't for a while so a lot of people have been asking me why I have this product. Little did they know this is the best concealer I have owned yet because of it's high coverage? A couple of weeks ago during my exams I was living on 6 hours sleep for about 2 weeks and this concealer made my oddly coloured eyes look normal! The bags under my eyes didn't even look bagged. Therefore this concealer is a wonder product! It has never let me down, it isn't cakey and it even brightens everything too, not to mention how good it covers up those blemishes!

*RRP: £5.75

That's all for now lovelies. I hope you enjoyed this post! Do you have any drugstore concealers you love? Let me know!

Bye for now.

May Monthly Hell Yes & Hell No's

06/06/2016
May was a weird month for me this year. Some things exceeded my expectations and other things really didn't do it for me, ya'know? So here I am with another monthly favourites post but with a twist!

Hell Yes Beauty

L'oreal Brows. Yes to the yes to the yes Yes YES! How have I never come across this product? I thought my Soap & Glory Archery pen/pencil was amazing but this actually beats it!

Naked Smoky. Another new addition to my life, which I absolutely love! You can find more about what I think of this product here. I don't fancy writing about this product again as I have alredy written about it anyway!

Lush Lip Scrub. My friend has this and before trying it out I was a bit funny about the product and thought it was a bit pointless because why the hell do I need a lip scrub??? But, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it and it is the best thing ever (Note: stop mentioning that things are the 'best things ever' for everything). It wasn't long until I made a visit to my nearest Lush and purchased this wonder product.

Beauty Hell No's

Benefit Oxygen Wow Foundation. What the actual is this product?? The coverage is awful, I am aware that the coverage isn't meant to be full, but the quality of this medium coverage crap is so bad, it may as well be a BB cream. I mean OK, you can build the coverage, but I *highly* recommend nobody does this because it looks like you are caked in make up, not to mention the fact that it makes your face look as if its constantly sweating. ew. I have only ever worn this on my face once and yes, once is enough. I wore it out and it didn't even stay on, it literally disappeared, even after powdering my face and using fix spray. Also, the colour of the product itself was horrible, it was almost yellow.. I don't know about you, but I don't know anyone with yellow skin. Anyway.. I now use this to blend my neck and my face if I need to, otherwise it is just a waste of money. Uch a fi.

Hell Yes Films

Fave Films:
Alice Through the looking glass. This film genuinely exceeded my expectations. I quite literally have the same opinion as my friend Tiffany and you can check out her film review here.

Bad Neighbours 2. I loved the first one, but this makes the first one even better because this is so good. It has the same sort of plot, but in all honesty, if you haven't watched it then we're not friends (I'm joking but...)

Hell Yes Series
Gossip Girl. I have really been getting into Gossip Girl for the last 2 months and it is up there with Pretty Little Liars (which is back this month - just a little promo). Also for those who do watch this or have watched this my favourite characters are Chuck and Blaire!

Hell No Series
Ok, well the worst series in May that I watched was 100% American Horror Story Hotel. I don't know why I just really cannot get into it, even after 14 episodes into it... Hmmm.

There you go, that sums up my May monthly favourites! What did you love in May? Let me know in the comments.

Let's Get NAKED!

31/05/2016

Hi lovelies! Before anyone asks, I'm not getting naked in today's post.. or any post for that matter, BUT I am going to be talking about my three gorgeous NAKED palettes from Urban Decay! EEEEEK even thinking about them makes me want to splash! Anyway, let's move onto the actual post shall we.

For anyone who doesn't know of the NAKED Palettes, then where the heck have you been??! Basically, each palette contains 12 gorgeous colours, all contain matte and shimmer colours which are extremely pigmented, what more can you ask for!

I'm doing my own question and answer post on this because.. well why not??

Which palette's do you own?
Naked 2, 3 and my lovely new addition Smoky.

Which palette is your favourite?
My favourite palette has to be NAKED 3. I love all of them, but....

If there are any palettes which you don't own, why not?
I just haven't got round to it yet... also I'm not 100% sure I like the colours in Naked 1, yikes! BUT, I might just buy the NAKED BASICS instead. I am currently trying to stop myself from buying the Naked Flushed palette, have you seen how gorgeous that is?!

Which palette has the best named colours?
Naked 2 definitely!

Which palette is best for travelling?
As I'm back and fore from bloody everywhere these days, I have noticed that the one I take everywhere is Naked 2. I think it's the easiest palette to do different looks with.

Do you regret buying the palettes?
Definitely not! They are better than any other eyeshadow palette I have ever tried and they last so long. Now I know why they have such a high price tag (for me anyway!).

What are your favourite colours from NAKED 2?
I use this palette the most because I use this mostly everyday. My favourite colours from this palette are Foxy, Bootycall, Tease, YDK and Busted.

What is your most used look with NAKED 2?
Okay. I use Foxy as my base colour and browbone, then I use Tease in my crease, then Busted in the outer corner (V) of my eye and half of my lid, then Bootycall for the rest of the lid, inner corner and tear duct. And of course BLEND!

What are your favourite colours from NAKED 3?
My fave palette! I usually use this palette for special occasions or if I'm going out on nights out. My favourite colours are Dust, Burnout, Limit, Nooner and Blackheart.

What is your most used look with NAKED 3?
I usually go for Strange as the base colour, Limit in the crease, Nooner on my lid, Blackheart on the outer corner (V) and Dust or Burnout (sometimes both) in the inner corner. And again BLEND!

As for Naked Smoky, I haven't yet used it because it is too gorgeous to touch right now. It is by far the prettiest palette out of all of them. The packaging is so different to the rest of the palettes which makes me love it even more. I can already tell what my favourite colours are.. High, Armor, Smolder, Password and Combust. I will get back to you all on my favourite look with this palette and I'll also get back to you on whether the Naked 3 palette is still my favourite after trying Naked Smoky... I have a feeling it won't be!

Do you own any Naked Palettes? Which one/s are your favourite? Let me know!
