Boots Haul

22/01/2016

So, after pay day, I decided to do a huge Boots* Haul. Maybe it wasn't all in one day.. But I can still call it a haul.. right? Anyway I was super excited to buy a lot of new things and just state my opinion on everything... as usual. Soooo, lets get started!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

This isn't new to my collection, however, my old one is actually disgusting. I love this sponge and it's exactly the same as any other beauty blender if I'm honest. The reason I love the sponge is because it's a change from just doing your make up with a brush all the time and sometimes it can be better than a brush if you really dig into it. Although, the massive downside to it is that it gets dirty very easily... obviously, but, even when I do clean it with my Real Techniques Deep Cleansing Brush Gel (here) it really doesn't change my disgust with the state the sponge is in. I only used my old sponge about three times and I washed it and it still made me feel like if I used it again all the germs would get into my skin... SO, I bought a new one.

You can get this sponge here.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush

Considering I have wanted a Stippling Brush in my collection for a very long time, it's safe to say this is my favourite brush added to my collection. I can't stress how much I love this brush. I have only used this once, however, I notice the contrast between using a regular brush and a stippling brush. I feel like the stippling brush brings your make up to a whole new level. In fact, I don't feel the same person because my base make up looks completely different. Also it is soooooo soft!!

You can get this brush here.

Real Techniques Limited Edition Duo Fibre Set

Thanks to my wonderful boyfriend at Christmas, I was gifted with this beautiful set. Is it my favourite Real Techniques Set? Yes. Oh, I love this set so much. It includes a duo-fibre face brush, contour brush and eye brush. I have to admit I haven't really used the eye brush as I had Naked Palettes for Christmas and I've been too busy using the brushes in them. I use the contour brush every time I apply my contour as I feel like this brush is the only brush that applies the most. I also use the face brush to get rid of harsh lines and to buff my face when I finish my make up.

You can get this set here.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush

I bought this last week as I've gotten tired of my other blush that I have continued to purchase for about 2 years. So as I was looking around at all the blushes in each section of my local boots, I came across this. I think what caught my eye is the pretty packaging and the unusual design on the blush. I was sooo in love with this product just by looking at it. So, when I used it, I think I used it wrong... Because I looked like a clown, literally. However, the second time I gave it a go it looked so pretty and now I use it every time I wear make up.

You can get this blush here.

Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow

Yikes, that was a mouthful. Anyway... HELP!!!! I'm either really stupid or maybe I'm not strong enough but how do you open this product!!! I bought this product yesterday and I was so excited to try it out because it looks so pretty, BUT it doesn't open!! I've tried so many times to open this and it won't. So.. How do you open this??

You can get this eye shadow here. (I hope it opens for you!).

Have you tried any of these products? What's your opinion? I would like to know your opinions in the comments below and if you have any questions I'm willing to answer too. However, the thing I want to know the most is how to open that damn eyeshadow. Please help. Thank you.

If you missed my last post you can read it here.

  1. I love the RT sponge too! I'm not too sure how to get into the Maybelline eyeshadow, I have a few and I'm pretty sure once the seal is torn you just twist the lid? Maybe its just really tightly on! Great haul :)
